Jingū Teruo sensei

Professor Jingū Teruo (神宮輝夫)(b 26 February 1932), is a scholar of Arthur Ransome and of children's literature living in Japan, who translated the Swallows and Amazons series into Japanese. He is a a life member of the Arthur Ransome Club and a professor emeritus of Aoyama Gakuin University.

Apart from Arthur Ransome's works, Jingū sensei has translated Richard Adams's Watership Down, Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things are and works by William Maine, Lloyd Alexander and other writers.
