Felixstowe port

Felixstowe port

Felixstowe is a North Sea port on England's east coast. It liess on the northern shore of Harwich harbour.

In We didn't mean to go to sea the Swallows were left on board Goblin anchored opposite Felixstowe Dock while their skipper Jim Brading went ashore to get petrol. Jim was hit by a bus while crossing the road and ended up in a Felixstowe hospital for two days. His walk back to the bus stop and journey back to the dock to look for his ship are described.

Felixstowe is mentioned in The Salt-Stained Book by Julia Jones as where Great Aunt Ellen is to arrive from China.
