Hong Kong[]
Ted Walker was stationed from 1929 to 1931 with the Royal Navy in Hong Kong, in those days a British colony on the China coast. In We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea the Walker family are waiting for Daddy to return "overland .... by train" (presumably via the Trans-Siberian Railway): "He’s on his way home from China" said John (WD1,23).
