Christina Hardyment

Christina Hardyment is a British journalist and author and a scholar of Arthur Ransome. She wrote Arthur Ransome and Capt. Flint's Trunk, a travelogue of locations in the Swallows and Amazons series. The publication of this book eventually led to the formation of The Arthur Ransome Society (TARS). Christina held several positions in TARS and edited its official journal for several years. She is currently one of Arthur Ransome's literary executors and so is responsible for protecting the Ransome estate's interest in his creations.

Hardyment's bio on describes her as "the author of many books on ‘literary geography’, including CFT, Heidi’s Alp (Atlantic Monthly) and Literary Trails (National Trust). She has also written a biography of Sir Thomas Malory and books about the social history of the home and the family, including Dream Babies."
