- 10 November 1952: Arthur Ransome sells Lottie Blossom to Sir George Mallinson for £1,425 (she had cost £1,589) provided her name was changed.
- 13 November 1999: Death of Brigit Sanders at Bideford, Devon. Brigit, born Brigit Altounyan in Aleppo, Syria on 12 June 1926 was a native prototype of Ship's Baby Bridget Walker and for many years she was President and 'Ship's Granny' of The Arthur Ransome Society.
